    Hi Johnny,
I love your Lucite candles!!!!!!! I used to have them in all my candlesticks. I had them in clear, red, blue, yellow and green. My ex was afraid to have real ones due to fire.

Ive been hunting some for years,Greg. My grandmother had a bunch back in the 60s and I remember thinking they were just so elegant ! LOL ! When I had found some they were always more than I was willing to spend (being so cheap and all) so when I found these I was thrilled.

    Hi Johnny,
That's when I had them also. I think all of mine were thrown out in the divorce.:eek::eek:. i usually see them at yard sales for 10 to 25 cents each. If I see anymore I will pick them up for you.

You had family in Ghana, or just with really big heads? The earrings at this sale were all post, more's the pity. I'm a screwback fan myself - no holes.

Another trash pick, our neighbor died and the kids threw out everything. They actually smashed up everything before putting it in the dumpster!

<snort> My grandparents lived in the Gold Coast for some years, just before the First World war. That's why I have Benin tomb pieces. One day, I shall go visit. Shame those are posts, they're super.

What a bunch of maroons. Note to neighbors, if you're throwing out the jewelry box and the work souvenirs, throw them at me! Old fountain pens too. Ink wells... sterling... I don't mind hauling it off for you, really.(LOL) Makes you wonder what else they tossed.

One of the women my mother tells me I wasn't named for, now she tells me, lived in Nigeria for years and then moved to Ghana. It also turns up locally sometimes, if not as often as I'd like. The estate sale people hadn't seen it before. That doesn't excuse them missing the gold in the statue's ears of course, but I wasn't arguing.
