I purchased this table recently and can't find any maker markings. Please help me identify the maker!

    Thank you

Should post pics here rather than link them. That said, I had a look. Looks like a 50s or later drop-leaf with 6 drawers. Odd configuration. Probably doesn't matter who made this but I don't think a main-stream furniture company. Is that wagon graphic a maker's mark?

Thank you for your reply. I purchased the table from an antique dealer in Pasadena. He said he thought it was made by a company named Forrest. The graphic is of a cactus, two wheeled wagon (cart) and some type of plant like a yucca.

So the graphic is decoration on top of the table? Was able to find a few pieces from Forrest furniture (Inglewood CA). Most had graphics similar to this but there was no exact match to your furniture. Your piece is within the genre of post-war CA furniture from relatively small companies that had a small but fervent following in the Southwest. It remains popular today in those same areas. Can't hardly give the stuff away here in the Midwest.

Thank you for the information. Yes the graphics are in the top! Sounds like I need a trip to the Midwest - I would buy it all.

Don't see too much of it but a piece crops up from time to time. Have sold a few pieces of Monterrey and CA tile top tables here cheap. Was shipping the tile tops for ebay sales when prices were better. Not worth the hassle of shipping to me for the most part.

I agree. I’m hoping to purchase a piece of Monterrey to my collection. I really love the style. You have been so helpful and I appreciate your thoughtfulness
