Featured Vanity

    I bought this for my wife 25 years ago, we are moving and are not taking it with us. Can anyone provide any info on this item regarding when it was possibly made, what type of wood, and a fair asking price. thanks [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Id guess 1900 give or take a decade. This is nicer than most one sees,Id ask $200 and go from there. Take any offer over $100. :)

    The wood on the flat surfaces in the second picture appears to be quarter-sawn oak veneer.

    I love that style of mirror on a vanity and they are not that common. Add in the overall graceful design and I think you will find a good home for it. Don't get discouraged and if at all possible please avoid selling it to someone who wishes to paint it. You will find someone who loves it for what it is and will preserve it it with a little patience for at least $150.00 I should think.

    Would think this dates to the teens. Would think $150.00 not out of the question in Chicago. Might want to start just a tad higher to give some bargaining room.

    Agree with verybrad. Just sold one of the same design, but made of mahogany for $140.00 in Des Moines. Would think quartersawn oak would fetch a bit more.
