What about the text around the base? I can make out "Bier u Frohes", beer and happy/jolly/fun, the meaning depends on the rest of the text.

I'll try and get a closer look at the base on my next go. :)

I found this amazing baseball board game and wondered if anyone was familiar with it and had any details? It was my grandfather's childhood toy.

This is another cool find. I had already put away some dominoes, pick-up-sticks, and a 60s Clue game but this was still left out when I grabbed pics.

    It says: Opera

That mouth organ box looks really cool. It’s worth about £10, I was assuming a little more but what can you do.

The a website documenting the birth and progression of Jim Prentices Electric Baseball. Here’s the bit on your version, not sure of true value, don’t sell well in auctions :

Imagine they looked pretty much the same for a long stretch, but the typewriter looks like the one my mother had, the one I practiced typing on & very occasionally typed a paper on. You get strong fingers. Mother may have acquired hers 1948 - 1955.

    Thank you guys so much!

I spent like a half hour online researching, trying to figure out why the main piece and the two boards didn't seem to match... only to have my dad have a light bulb moment after all that and go 'oh wait it is two different games.'

    :arghh:DAD!!!

I haven't figured out what those boards go to but did find another vintage kids' game:

Very cool, hope it cleans up well. They can be worth a bit if you have the box and it cleans up really well. But it’d need to go well xD xD

I don't think the box is here but it's such a mess there's no way I can be sure what's down there until I'm done. But I think my dad really loves this one so he'll probably keep it.;)

Does anyone know anything about military memorabilia? It's assumed that my grandfather brought this back; he was in the army in the Second World War. The thinking is it's some kind of hat pin.

Just a suggestion, you could post some of these separately in the different categories.

I figured there is so much stuff that I'd end up exploding the boards if I made a new thread for everything.
