When a body meet a body, comin' through the hoard ...

I'd be happy to find those in my hoard!

I went out today to the ReStore and spent $40. $12 on a crystal bowl with a silver rim (headed to an antique dealer), seriously old silverplate or sheffield plate creamer and sugar, and a Lladro Lhasa Apso. The dog was marked "not Lladro". Oops! (not mine, but it looks like this dude: https://images.app.goo.gl/7Wj55UDi3sP7WYoCA )

The Restore place here in Columbia thinks they are a retail antique shop.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I stopped in a few weeks back & I found saucers for cups I bought months ago at a GW but other than that it was a waste of my time. They have a glass cabinet filled with porcelain priced at what you would see in a shop in Charleston on King St.:eek::eek::wacky::wacky::wacky::wacky::wacky:

Mine used to do that, when the "good stuff" didn't walk out the back door. I'm glad they have someone with ethics working the smalls now!

I have that wee hare! Rosenthal, indeed. Given to me when I was in my early teens by our au pair, whose mama worked for them.

Went to an "estate" (read moving) sale this morning. Spent $20 on a tacky metal tray, some other bits and a couple of next year's Christmas and Chanukka gifts. Then went back to the other estate sale and spent $16. The prize of the lot may be a book titled Nervous Children. Mine is the original 1916 printing, and politically incorrect doesn't begin to cover it. It comes from the pre-dawn era of Special Ed. (one image shows a girl of the "moron class" ... and she was too young to run for office) https://catalog.library.vanderbilt.edu/discovery/fulldisplay/alma991032581179703276/01VAN_INST:vanui
