Oops, mistook photo of bottom of blue vase for bottom of ivory one. Do see lines in the bottom; can't spot them in the top.

    Starting over,
I see lines in photo of bottom but can't make them out in pic of top. Better photos needed. Meantime, this is also on the Cameo Show & Tell thread, tossing it in here for comparison purposes.

Smelling like ivory here too. Definitely doesn't look like bone. Still can't bring out the lines as sharply as I'd like, but well enough, & looks like base was turned, also arguing for ivory.

    Not a true "find", more a "bargain"
An Ebay France buy, from a mis described auction...
Described as antique portait picture, unknown material...
    7 big buttons 3.5cm (1.3/8")
    7 small buttons 1.8cm (6/8")
    18th century around 1780!
The suite had to be at least of 14 big buttons!
See an article (in French...) there:
    https://grham.hypotheses.org/240

As received, glued on the velvet board, full of grime and dust!

I’m a stranger to Finds thd, but here goes anyway. The trench art I’m investigating goes on separate thds but these items, I know about, so they’ll go here. I like to know what weapons expended the ammunition before it was turned into art, so I’ll put a key in the pix below. One of the 3 pieces (no. 1) was created by acid-etching, whereas the other 2 are embossed/repousse, a much more common method. The two large cases are different species of 37mm cannon ammunition, and the thin one I think fits the M1894 German 26.5mm flare pistol. The case is engraved “Craonne 1917” which is another topic beyond the scope of this post, but much info is on the web.

If anyone can identify the plants depicted, please post that info!

Definitely, it's not as close to home as I'd like but there's a few other places to pick nearby that will make the drive at least seem worth it.
