All of these were offered in the US & they most likely used flat rate boxes for shipping.

I never scrolled all the way down the list of sold items until just now. The set of Osteonics instruments were quite interesting. I don't know if the pieces are still being used, but if they are the $800 was a supreme bargain. :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:

The bits Davey has are antiquated, but they'd be great for making something else out of.

I like the tube robots....radio guys here are always looking for tubes, but as Terry says, I guess it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack getting the ones you actually need.

    Hi Marko,
Oddities was a wonderful store and series. I bought and sold so many things there.
The two owners were as crazy as I was.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

There was a tv show a number of years ago that showed off people's odd collections.

I believe that this guy with all the old medical stuff was on that show.

Hospital OR's would, & probably still do, court surgeons like you would not believe. It would happen all the time, a new surgeon would show up & he would get all kinds of fancy new "toys". He would eventually move on for one reason or another & the hospital would be stuck with this set of instruments that they had spent thousands of dollars on that no one else used.

My guess is that most larger hospitals or clinics have someone on staff who lists their unused equipment/instrumentation on ebay nowadays & if they don't they are crazy.

Like I said earlier I was asked to sell 2 OR beds back in 2005. They were the manual pump-up type & they were being replaced by electric models. The beds went to a some place down in Mexico. We shipped them as far as some city along the Texas border (Laredo I think) & they were going to drive up there to retrieve them.

Everyone was happy. The surgery center was rid of them because they had no place to store them. They got some money for the beds & the place in Mexico was probably thrilled to have them.

I also got a commission for handling the whole deal. :smug::smug::smug:

G'd bless those who can work in hospitals and are doctors or nursed.

    Hi Pearls,
As long as the blood is in the Hospital does not faze me in the least. Blood all over the highway or anywhere else makes me queasy as well.

It's a good thing you're not a girl.(LOL) Most of us have to deal with blood on a monthly basis whether we like it or not.

Blood doesn't make me queasy, as evelby says.... but surgery pictures, procedures on Youtube, etc., definitely do.
