This is what I got from the crazy thrift shop that is buying and reselling jewelry. It is a 20" 14k Italian box chain and a 14k jade and pearl pendant/pearl enhancer. The ladies marked it at $200, then went o $150, then $120, which I would have paid just for the chain. I am showing it with pearls I have that kinda match it.

These Vendome crystal earrings are the first I have seen where the aurora borealis coating is placed underneath rather than on top of the crystal.... makes the color pop!

 

I have a green pin made a similar way - AB finish underneath. I think the manufacturer just flipped the beads over.

 

Vendome is famous for flashy unusual treatment of glass on their jewelry. Very nice. Love the jade with the pearls, too.

 

Upper left is a projector bulb. Most of the tubes pictured are not sought after types. Any would have to be tested to see if they're any good. Old radio guys seemed to always save the dud used tubes.

The guys around here use those tubes in different ways than was expected. They bring nice money. I used to pull the tubes out of old television sets and sell them. Guys used to use them on radios and other stuff.

Yes, here the tubes/valves are used for old equipment replacements- they are sought after.

 

Same thing here.

 

You can't use bad tubes for replacement and expect something to work.

Having an intact filament does not make it good.

There are many hundreds of types. Only the right type works for a particular application.

I've been dealing in tubes for years. 99% of the ones you will run across are either the pulled bad tube or a type that no one has a use for.

If you really think you can get money for them, I have about 20,000 in the basement for cheap.

 

Good jumble/rummage at the weekend. The chicken nest dish has already been identified by SIS, the dainty lady mirror needs some sympathetic restoration, the paint seems to have been mixed with rubber. There were 6 French fashion engravings, the colours still so vibrant. The seal fob is marked rolled gold. The golf putting dishes were identified by Komokwa, (I would never had guessed their use) alas only one Fenton candleholder.

 

You could always do this with them !

I vote for valve robots; even the dead ones work just fine for that. As for the hips... there's probably a steampunk out there somewhere who wants them for her wall.

 

Maybe shelf bracket from the knees? They will find something to make.

 

While he does not have any prosthesis out in his shop, the DH has plenty of assorted instruments & disposable supplies from my 17 years as an OR nurse.

The lap sponges were especially coveted as were the "disposable" towels that were made of cloth. Both made especially fine cleaning rags & if a case was cancelled after it was opened or if something fell off the table it was always up for grabs by anyone who happened to be on hand at the time.

I was in charge of clearing out a storage room at one time & when I asked what I should do with literally boxes of stuff I was told to chunk them in the trash.

I went through the boxes & took home surgical grade wire, clamps, long instrumentation used in laparoscopy surgeries, suture knife handles, blades plus stuff I don't even remember. He often says he could probably do a minor surgery in his shop.

I sold 2 older OR beds on ebay for the surgery clinic I worked for at the time so I figured you might be able to sell the prosthesis.
