Can anyone give me a direction how to research it or does anyone know any of that information?

    Hi Joni, welcome,
I don’t know about your chair, but if you quickly go to edit your post, click make photo full size, and save changes it will be easier to see. Then always use full size in your posts.

I should have also mentioned, I’m sure they will need pics of every side to help, especially bottom.

I'm not sure this is very old.
As in not late 1800s early 1900s.
More like 1940s, maybe refinished and upholstered in the 1960s.
I could be totally wrong on this one.

Agree, not old. Reproduction of a Victorian balloon back chair. 1970s or later import.

Question, in reproductions or newer furniture did they use the wooden slats under the cushion for support as shown in my picture?

Sure those are wood? Usually a cloth webbing/strap.

Yes I'm absolutely 100% positive they are wood slats, that is why I took a close up picture I had hoped that would help in identifying the era. I'm still looking for information on this

Did they even use wood slats in antique furniture?
I'm not sure I've ever seen that except for bed frames.

Okay thank you all so much for your help I really appreciate it. They are wood but I see that that is not an indication of anything. Thanks again

Wood slats really pretty much confirms this to be a modern import. Were never used in western furniture like this to my knowledge.
