komokwa The Truth is out there...!

I had a Toro for many years ...but a couple of years ago I switched to a Honda with a much lighter cord pull.....so my wife could use it without me having to go out and start er' up !

    Sneaky ....huh !!!

Never heard of a Honda? Now I have just an old rotary and a push mower. Lawns are small and half dead. An acre of desert dirt,LOL.

I think lawn mowers work best when someone else is pushing them. Isn't that why people have kids?

That's what DH said. When he left home, his father got a power mower! It's hard to think that it really wasn't all that long ago, relatively speaking, that 90% of the world used push non-power lawn mowers. Later our DD no doubt felt the same. When she was of the right age, I was busy showing her how to do this and that like ironing, etc... while DH was busy showing her how to operate the riding mower, etc... For many years I did the bush-hogging of the back 2 acres with a tractor until it threw me resulting in a broken leg and back problem to this day. We have 4 acres of lawn. When DD left home, DH started hiring someone to mow and and manicure the front 2 acres and bush-hog the back 2 acres.

Happy New Year! I went thrifting yestday as usual. Didn't find much of anything for resale, but did find.... [IMG]
Quilted Indian silk. Thelma the Wonder Pest is concealing the best/worst part. Mirrored buttons. It reverses to the pink and yellow paisley with the same gaudy mirrored buttons. NFS - I'm not sure if it's so bad it's good or just bad, but I'll cheerfully wear it. You'll be able to see me coming for certain.

    Hi Evelyn,
I love your jacket. I had a bed throw just like it including sewen in little mirrors. I had until my first cat in NY. She used to just slice through the silk
and gnaw on getting the mirrors. After two weeks, the spread went to the dump.

Your jacket is similar to my gaudy excess sequined jacket from India.I bought mine for 5 bucks at the T. My BF wore it one Halloween and was the envy of the band.:p.

Especially if Thelma remains "attached" to the pretty jacket. ;)

Brad, I love all the art work you found and the wire waste basket. The paint by
number picture reminds me of my sister's German Shepherd that died this year.
Old Jack was a good dog.

Thank you. I posted on the Happy New Year thread that I had a CT scan last
week and got great news on New Year's eve - no hot spots! We are off to
Arizona for 2 months tomorrow. We were suppose to head there last January,
but my colon cancer had other plans. Have a great 2015! That goes for every-
one else reading this. And if you are due, get that colonoscopy done - don't put
    it off!!

rro, I'd no idea you had been ill. I'm absolutely delighted that you sound as though you're mending well.

Yes, screening people - it's worth it. (I just got my kit from the NHS!)
