Between the two wars, probably. The clasp is an older ring one, the dangles fairly classic Art Deco.

Thank you my darling Mrs. B!

I bought it for 50p ages ago, just had the feel that it was silver.
Took it home and then had one of my WTF did I do that for? moments. Couldn't find any markings and second guessed the silver thing completely as it's quite roughly finished.
Put it away to be sold. ie never to be seen again, fallen into the abyss.
Got it out today though for my daughter to wear to school on wear what you like day, whilst looking for something else actually ( unfortunately, she's inherited my dress **sense**) and it felt like silver again. Louped the crap outta it and lo and behold...a STERLING mark.
I could not see that before. I cleaned it too and the mark is quite pronounced now x x

    It is very nice.
An old ethnic necklace, can't date it by Western style periods.
I've seen this style with the phallic pendants before, of course I can't remember it now. Those primitive globe beads are very much Afghan, etc.
Probably India-Pakistan-Afghanistan. Maybe you can find it if you google tribal sterling necklace.
Re-strung/re-designed using a spring clasp, those bigger dangles show real wear. Ethnic jewellery makers often use older components for new jewellery, and started to use Western clasps decades ago.

That's fantastic info, thank you. I am THRILLED with it.

I DO find some eclectic and weird things in my teeny part of the globe. How the hell do Tibetan prayer wheels and..this appear in sleepy ole Hereford!?
As always,I am in utter awe and thankfullness of the information I always get here and the willingness to share.

THANK YOU ALL...I<3 this board x xx

These aren't all Rajasthani. I have a late 19th C bracelet with those dianond shaped designs with full British hallmarks.

The clasp isn't recent, it's at least 1940s.

Diamond shapes in themselves are very generic and ancient, can be found just about anywhere and in any period of art history. It is how they are combined with other elements that makes it possible to narrow it down.
And then there is Orientalism, of course, highly fashionable during the Victorian era (and other periods).
I agree, the clasp isn't recent, none of the components are. It is an old necklace, using even older components that were either made locally or imported.

Old beads that were strung on now broken cording get re-used left and right. Odds are these have been redone at least once. For fifty P ... can I come boot saling with you? (LOL)
