The following query was accidentally sent to me via "Conversation" by a new member, modestac64, back on Dec. 10th. I just now noticed the "Conversation" alert notice. I just haven't got the hang of looking for a Conversation Alert. Anywho, I replied telling whomever that I would post their query in this group and hopefully someone could help them. I also advised them to post a pic. I haven't seen any posting by this person.

Hi, this is first time posting, I have a mantel Russian Clock that has the word "EYS" in the middle of the clock. Some of the red paint has peeled off and it looks to be a type of Formica. Wondered if anybody knows about this clock. I bought it at a swap meet. Also the clock has a music box at the bottom.

I have no idea how or why they posted to me either. Then again they probably sensed my sparkling personality, sterling character, to die for beauty, high intelligence, integrity, uprightness, high principles, etc... Ohhh not to mention my humbleness and unpretentious demeanor.

I'm not about to question how they made their query into a Conversation posting to me when so easy to post to a forum. I have done hmmm.... let me think...1 or 2 orrrrr 3 or 4 +++++ dumb things in my life time that turned out to be harder to do then the right way of doing whatever. :(

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Photos will be required to address this question, won't they?

I was attracted to this thread by the phrase "Russian Clock." Not sure if they mean it was made in Russia or whether that is a type of clock. The EYS does not look like Cyrillic, though. It would help to see some photos.
