It would be a shame to cover up all that nice inlay, but I could see it holding a big fern.

Something Davey posted recently about finding something in a darkened attic (I think) reminded me of this find from a couple of years ago. I was helping a friend run an estate sale and when it was over I wandered to the second floor of the barn, which had no electricity, was VERY dark, and had a big scary hole in the floor. I was about to leave when I thought I saw something smallish and dark leaning against the wall. I bent over to see what it was and was greeted with bursts of color. There were four of these, but the two here were my favorites. As you can see, I had them framed and they still decorate my long-grown daughter's bedroom.

Is that an old version of Candyland?

I think this clock was worth $2.99+ with two 1879-s Morgan dollars.

Yes it is, and I just ran upstairs to see what the dates are. The Wizard of Oz one says "Copyright 1921" and, other than the manufacturer info, the Candyland one says "4921X." I saw the same one on a website that dated it to 1949, which the number on mine and the children's clothing seems to corroborate.

Interesting about the 1949 date. Unless they changed it again quickly, that should be the one my brother and I had. But it has been so darn long since then, all I can picture is the more modern versions. :(

    The Oz one is awesome!

It’s a tree house an uncle built at our place this winter to surprise all the kids that come here in the summer.
