Greek Orthodox ???

What is your item? How large is it? What is it made of? Is it two sided? And why do you think it has something to do with the Greek Orthodox religion? (From what I can see, the writing is in the Roman alphabet.)

Ah, it's a great seal. And I thought I saw St. Peter too. Thanks. There are both old and new reproductions. A photograph of the back would reveal much.

My parents were antique dealers. They had Greek friends and associates with whom They did business with. I it was originally purchased from one of them about 50 yrs. ago, so I made an assumption.

 

The piece is 2 5/8" in diameter. It appears to made from bronze. One sided only. The back is covered with red felt, as if it were used as a paper weight. Just a guess.

 

Think you might be right. Something like this.
