salt shaker - hand decorated and gilt

    I like this but no mark and I don't have a clue where it was made or it's age. Gilt-metal top is in surprisingly good shape considering, though there are no marks on the top either. It's about 4 inches tall I think. What do you think?

    I doubt that a salt shaker would have a top like that - and the shape looks more like for rose water.

    Agreed, part of a dressing table set.
