Hi All, I'm back with another question. I have this multi tool with 11 attachments, the only mark is on the large blade, Rostfrei. I thought Rostfrei was the company but have found out it means stainless. Is it possible to figure out where this was made? Any information appreciated thanks for looking
Most likely a cheap Chinese import, some are also marked China and most can never be identified to a particular maker. Just one of dozens of conversations on the subject .................... https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/rostfrei.139644/
well it's likely a knock off swiss army knife....in style.....but looks better than the chinese copies i've seen.
Definitely a Chinese copy of a Swiss Army Knife using a German term. Rust Free is kind of Ironic when it has rust
They are not even trying to fake a good pocket knife. They would have put a Victorinox symbol (or another quality brand) on it or something very similar which the Chinese often do. Rostfrei is not always rostfrei. Stainless steel can rust. It depends on the quality of steel used and the conditions it has been kept/used.
