Featured What is going on with this Tiffany & Co. Ring?

Hey guys picked this up for cheap today. Being Tiffany and it fits I had to get it. I am fairly confident it is real and will be taking it to my Tiffany store to clean it up a bit. However, what in the world is going on with it? I am thinking that someone may have pinched the top of the ring to bring it together more. See how wide it is? Now look at mine.... You can see it's pinched, IMO it doesn't look bad at all, I actually some what prefer a little more room on my finger, but considering the fact I can't find another ring like this I figure someone definitely altered it. The thing that's confusing is the bar in the middle looks perfectly waved, how could someone have done that... Thoughts?

that puppy was worn hard....for a long time...and put away wet !!!!

 

Besides being smashed with a heavy force causing the outside edge to be forced into the inside of the ring below the Tiffany mark and the whole ring being out of round... maybe more unseen problems not visible in the photos.

 

I'm probably going to take it to Tiffany and they'll clean and polish it and I'll ask about making it rounder. However on hand it looks completely fine, you'd never know it was smashed in without seeing what it looked like before. I'll post after pictures! Should I inquire about bending it back out or leave it as is?
