Silver Iranian/Persian round box with mark, I think

I picked up this little covered round box just 2¾" in diameter. It is marked but the mark appears to be damaged or worn. I've found very similar boxes and most are described as Persian (or maybe just the ones I've found so far).

So "Persian" silver I assume would be from today's Iran so the marks would be Iranian. Or so I assume.

Anyway, any idea what this mark is saying? Similar boxes, from what I've read, seem to have a maker or locale along with 84 or the Farsi version of 84. The newer ones have a lion mark. I think the smeared/worn center symbols look kind of like the Farsi / Persian 84 ۸۴ Sorry these were taken before polishing.

I'm wondering whether it might be one of the Turkish marks. Other than the circle at one end, the rest of the partial impression near it doesn't look like the Iranian examples on 925.

Boy I don't know. I tried looking at Turkish marks, I tried Iraq and a few others and when you can't really read a language it's a disadvantage trying to make things out:inpain:. My best guess has been Iran mostly based on other similar boxes with clearer marks. I'm not sure of anything.

It has been worth what little I paid for it just for the entertainment value of looking for it though:D.

Yes, looks like a Turkish mark.
The style of the box is pretty generic of the region, probably originally Persian, Persian culture had an enormous influence. Not just in the region, but as far away as China and Indonesia. And Europe of course.

Well I've spent many happy hours now wandering about Google images looking at lovely silver so can't complain about that. I can't say I'm greatly enlightened by the experience, probably more confused.

On the Silver Forums among many posts I did find the recommendation for a book on silver marks of the region but as the book is over $200 I'll not be doing that right now. Especially since this particular mark is so damaged.

Anyway, the construction and general style of my box seems to be most like "Persian" boxes found online however I'm not sure everyone knows what they have. I'm keeping an eye out for Turkish too. There seem to be many, many marks and since mine is so indistinct it's not very helpful. Some take to calling similar items Persian/Ottoman so that seems to cover a lot of bases.

Below is a blurry mark I took directly from the website of silvermakers/dealers in Isfahan and while it doesn't appear to be my mark, the way it's stamped reminds me of the three stamped areas of mine though that means nothing. Just an observation. I'm not sure I know why the 925 website is on the bottom of their photo, wish I could read or speak more languages:(.

    Edit to add
that I found the reason the 925 website is on their photo of an Isfahan mark. It's from a discussion of silver piece.

    So thanks for the help:)
