So this was the SNAD ring I posted about a while back. I ended up keeping it in exchange for a partial refund, even though the resin-filled band can't be repaired. The maker's mark is an H in a sun symbol. I haven't tested it, but based on the mark I presume it is 14k. I suppose that number narrows down the date a bit? (Oddly, it was from the UK, so I'd have thought it would be marked with British gold marks). I've spent hours researching the crest, but I can't find a match.

Why would you assume that the ring was resin filled?

I took it to a jeweler, and I can see some brown resin peeping through on the third image down.

Question-If a ring is resin filled,is it gold plated over a base metal which is resin filled or is the band basically a hollow gold tube with resin inside? Enquiring minds want to know!.

Only a total fool would put resin in a hollow ring, the explosion when heated for repair could be fatal, even a small drop of water is dangerous. Rings can be gold, silver, nickel silver, gold filled, etc.

So filling with resin isn’t a usual practice but been used in this case to repair it or from manufacture? It’s a beautiful ring.

It isn't British, that's a continental 1. I've seen hollow rings filled with some kind of gutta percha type gunk to weight them.
