Water ladle from coconut with nicely carved wooden handle in naga/dragon shape and miniature wooden (animanl) bell at the tail tip. Comon throughout Asia, but where might this one originate from? Probably new, no signs of use anyway. Length about 30 cm.
    Help needed, can't find similar examples! :) IMG_0747klein.jpg IMG_0753klein.jpg IMG_0751klein.jpg IMG_0749klein.jpg

It is beautiful, John. Probably Cambodia or Laos. That spike on the Naga's nose is seen a lot in that region.

Nice, John. Yours is much more beautiful and older, but the same idea, even with the clapper at the end.
I should have included Thailand in the list, Thailand was part of the Cambodian Khmer empire for a long time, and Thai culture is still greatly influenced by Cambodian culture.
The Thai ethnic group itself originated in China and migrated southward, incorporating local cultures into their own.
So I would say, yours is made somewhere in the general Cambodian/Khmer influenced cultural area of Laos, Cambodia, Thailand.
