Featured China cup ,how old am I ?

    Hi all. Had this for a while and just cant really figure it out . Thanks to watching back episodes of BBC Antiques Roadshow Im now on a china kick . :) Its 2 1/2 inches tall,4 wide ,obviously transferware .I fell in love with Neptune (?) on the front. Any input is always appreciated.

    The seller calling one of those "flow blue" has made a mistake. ;)

    Flow blue, schmo blue. It isn't. It is early nineteenth I'd say and I love it. The design may be the same, but I think the transfer itself is different from the Clews one. Yours is a bit less crisp and almost primitive, hence probably earlier.

    Transfer ware tea bowl absolutely.

    The muffiner up above was on Worthpoint and they had it as 1825 . Thanks so much for the input everyone ,its a humble little thing but when I hold it I just feel history . :)

    I know what you mean. I have some damaged late 18th C pickle dishes which I am very fond of indeed.

    Lovely cup, nice old age, and I love the Neptune figure. He seems very surprised to have found himself on a cup after emerging from the sea foam.

    My grandmother was 39 for at least ten years. Time passed more slowly in those days.:playful:
