Preston who ?

Hi everyone hope you all keeping well , like many stook at home I’m using my time to catch up researching and hopefully selling or donating most of my stuff due to downsizing .
Iv has these two old paintings I’m cleaning up trying to research but there are a lot of Preston’s that are artists
Even with the information I can’t find who this Preston is .
Apologise if I’m just no good at this stuff but I know u guys are x

Yours is a decorative painting, Vicky. Unlikely there really is a "Preston."

Yes I know I have this information but I can not find other work to compare too as in age , value and which Preston this is as there are numerous I.e Margret , mark ?

 

Oh I thought with having stamps on it was hopefully more than decorative

 

Actually, the opposite is true. An "original work of art" stamp with inventory number confirms that yours is a commercial painting and not a work of fine art.

For the longest of time iv been looking for oils with stamps on as I thought that upgraded it to valuable so to say .

May I ask how much a picture like this is worth pls I did buy from a car boot sale so it’s going to be local auction or just back to the car boot .

Not to be facetious but... It's worth what someone will pay for it. Depends on the strength of your local market. And if it's framed or unframed. If it were mine, I'd be happy to get my initial investment back.
