Ok.... sorry for the offtrack. I wish I'd had a forklift last week when I was loading my old garden tractor into the back of my pickup. I used the bucket of my tractor. Took awhile. The guy who unloaded it used a forklift and delicately had it out in about 2 seconds.

 

Thanks. It only took a few min. For the veterans on the other forum to tell me how it is done, a much better way than any of the 3 methods I had thought up. They do it using the forklift’s own mast-tilting capability-perfectly safe, just a bit slow. But when dealing with that much weight, slow=good.
