African Origin for This Heavily-Beaded Basket?

I always assumed this heavily-beaded basket has African origins and is older, but not an antique. I am quite sure that is a small, rusty, metal disk in the center bottom of the basket. I am just giving it away, as we clean out our house preparatory to a move, but I would like to accurately describe it for any potential takers. Can you help? Thank you.

How can I edit the title of my post (because I am obsessive about that sort of thing...)

OK, I found the answer to that, but now I don't know how to delete this now-unnecessary question. Sigh

But if you still want to know the origin, it's a beaded offering basket, from Bali, Indonesia.
