Another show and tell - 40's Japanese porcelain vase

    Thought I'd show this as I thought the paint/glaze was interesting. According to gotheborg the mark dates it to the 40's. Looks like someone started to drill a hole to make it into a lamp, but stopped, probably because it cracked - there's a hairline up the side - can't really see it from the outside. About 8 inches tall.

    I'm having trouble focusing my eyes...and your vase isn't helping...:playful::playful:

    The drilling looks to me like a pre made stamp to punch out....if you wanted to make a lamp...
    maybe the crack, caused this to be a factory 2nd...?
