Oriental figure requires identification

Hi,

I've inherited an old oriental figure (please see pics attached) and I'd really appreciate some help identifying it.

I have no idea where it came from but I do know that it's quite old and was handed down a couple of generations before reaching me.

Thank you very much in advance for any help, suggestions, advice etc. anyone can give me in my quest to identify this mysterious object!

PS - It's in fine condition and is about 4 inches tall and 1 inch wide

When I saw the Terra Cotta Warrior exhibit at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, they were selling items like this in the gift shop. That was four or five years ago.

 

They probably started making these in the 70s.

I saw the travelling exhibition in Edinburgh years ago. It was packed. Everyone had to shuffle around in a tight packed line. The gift shop had sold out of nearly every souvenir. There was a queue around the block. I was with my sister and she said "follow me, I"ll get us in" She walked to the front and, sure enough, she got us straight in. She had the cheek of the devil.
