Featured Help identifying vintage sewing shears

    My mistake. Had these since '73 and they are 'KINGSHEAD' ;) from Italy not WISS as I had said though I do have other WiSS scissors and sheet metal snips.

    I'm loving all of these responses! Even if we haven't solved the puzzle, it is making the time of my beating the flu much more interesting ;) I noticed the marking after the second "O" before I posted, however to me it just looks like a dent. I will try to post a clearer picture, as well as measure the blades, in a post soon :)

    I've been googling, I did find mostly machete and blades.
    But I think the c.s. Might be for cold steel.

    Possibly carbon steel.

    Carbon steel is more likely, I think. There's a reason why a lot of antique steel-ware was plated - it rusted at the drop of a hat, due to there being no stainless steel.

    Yes...people were exceedingly clumsy with hats back then...

    It’s why hats evolved to have bills to be worn at the back so that they were less likely to be dropped accidentally.....
    And with the added bonus of being more cool than anyone can stand.
