I don’t usually sell glass so I’m looking for help in listing this carnival glass bowl.

I believe that it is Fenton’s version of the Peacock and Urn pattern but how do I describe the colour?

The initial impression is purple but there are areas of gold and when held to daylight it is completely different.

    Guidance welcome.

    thanks in advance

Nice piece John:) With carnival glass, you need the colour of the glass which you determine by looking at the base (photo taken from an ebay listing), and then describe the finish as purple/amethyst or maybe oil spot. You see different terms used, your photos are great and show the colour beautifully

the exterior 'Bearded Berry' design is a Fenton indicator also. The primary design is most often called by the interior design; therefore Fenton #6 'Peacock and Urn' c1910, and the color as noted is based on the color of the glass, which is amethyst.
