    The script is Devanagari, an Asian script used from India to Southeast Asia.
    My guess is this is Indian, maybe a religious token.
    The Trishula or trident is generally a symbol of Shiva.
    The monkeys could have something to do with Hanuman, the monkey God.

    Thanks everyone - This Forum is the best - Quick quality replies - I am retired and started going to estate auctions - I buy mostly sterling silver items and coins - If you can get them for their melt value and they turn out to be worth more - Bonus - I know a little and am learning but you can always trust this forum for answers - Thanks again and keep up the good work!
