Very long red sparkly floral fabric piece

    I wonder what this was made for. Very long about 20 feet in length and full of confetti I think. I wonder if this is a ceremonial piece for something, anyone know ?

    The confetti like embellishments are probably sequins, either sewn or glued in clusters.

    Agree, a sari (saree), the right length too:

    Red is usually worn for festive occasions. The sequins sparkle nicely, India is all about bling.:)

    On the right woman, the sari is the most elegant dress in the world, I think. And just a length of fabric, no seams whatsoever.
