Silver Bowl

This silver bowl has 2 Handles it is 5 inch high & weighs about 14 oz
It is beautifully engraved or etched
On the reverse bottom there is a Mark with 3 crosses in a Heart
I do not know if it is plated or Real Silver
There is a double-headed eagle symbol on the Front and there are someone's initials on the other side

 

Looks plated to me.

 

More of a loving cup than a bowl.

 

The writer might be translating something and not had the right word to use. I'd call it a cup too.

I see those too. Bitty ones. They generally don't put marks that small on plated pieces; silverplate is often better marked than the real thing. Go figure.

It has a pair of initials, like a wedding memento, but the eagle motif seems odd in that context. Is there any writing on the eagle side?
