Hi everyone - I am new to these forums and hoping that someone can help to identify a pendant that I have. It has 925 on the back as can be seen in the pictures which I assume means 92.5% silver . What I am wondering is if anyone knows what era it is from and who may have made it. Also am interested to know what the jewels are if anyone has a guess. To me the piece looks like it is crudely made so it may not be from a well known company. I know absolutely nothing about jewelry so hoping that some of the experts can help.

    Thank you in advance. Doug

    Welcome to the forum, Doug.
You're right, 925 is 92.5% silver, a good fineness also known as sterling silver.
The stones could be garnets. The way the rounds are built up is often used in Bohemian (Czech) garnet jewellery.
Czech jewellery manufacturers rarely stamp their own mark on their pieces, so no one expects it on this type of jewellery.
The missing stone can be replaced, and it will be as new.

Thank you Any Jewelry & komkwa. Appreciate the info. Any ideas on era?

Also thank you for the comment on the pictures. I've been a member of a pocket knife forum for a few years and there is nothing worse than someone posting bad or small pictures. I guess that's why I always strive to take good pics. :)

If it is Czech, which I think (and no other opinions yet;)), it is post-Communist era, so after 1990.
Older Bohemian (Czech) garnet silver jewellery was made of 800 or 835 silver, slightly lower finenesses.

And I agree with komo on the photos. It can be extremely frustrating when people keep you guessing about what they want advice on.

You need to take it to someone to check the stones. No one can tell you what they are looking at a photo. They may be glass, they may be garnets.

With the visible inclusions they look natural and not glass.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It seems more modern to me as well. And your photos are exceptionally good. So much so that I can see what you mean about it seeming a little crudely made. But I can't tell if that perception is based on how it looks when the photos are enlarged! Shows every imperfection and speck of dirt.

And could you let us know the size of this?
