Featured Possible Blenko glass large bottle vase

    I got this today from a family run estate sale. I am not familiar with Blenko so I was wondering if this is Blenko. I don't see an O, or maybe it got rubbed off.

    Never mind, I finally found it. It is Blenko done in the late 50's to 60's sandblasted by Don Sheppard.

    It's a decanter not a vase, missing the stopper, the rough interior to the neck is your first clue it had a stopper. Depending on size it is either 5815M which is 24 1/2" with stopper or 5815S which is 17" with stopper. As you said, the sandblast mark was used from the Spring of 1958 to the Summer of 1960. Although this shape was made for a number of years, your particular piece would have been made during the timeframe the sandblast mark was used.

    It's a vase now by default, unless someone finds a new stopper.
