Don't laugh because I know this isn't it but in trying to come up with ideas for search terms it occurred to me that it might be a bass instead of a cello.

 

That looks reasonable just that it needs a feline head. I can verify more with him tomorrow

 

CC49 has said what I was going to suggest, Cat & the Fiddle with possibility that there were companion pieces of the other couples.

 

Please ask if it was really a figurine or whether it could have been a novelty bottle, salt shaker, something functional.

So then we would be looking for a Jazz Cat, a Cool Cat. Blue glass, not bluegrass.
