This is good to know about the water goblets, if I am lucky again to ever find any.

Went to an estate sale this morning, freezing cold weather here.

Picked up some Lefton Bunny Rabbits. The owners must have loved them as one table was half filled with these bunnies. The price was right, so I picked up quite a few to hopefully sell.
No photos yet but wanted to share.
    :)

I hit two sales this morning myself. Got a Lee Sands horse at the second one and some beads for messing with. At the first one? Odds and ends, including a scrap gold ring setting and a single 10k cuff link. Got some sterling bits too, but nothing exciting. Not bad, but worth getting up while it was still dark? Meh.

Yesterday I bought this fabulous Victorian French Opaline Glass and brass bell pull fitting.
In all these years I've been collecting it's the first time I have found one that wasn't attached to a bell pull.
It wasn't cheap but I love it and right now I'm working on a 7ft Victorian beadwork bell pull that was never finished so I'm filling in the background with pure silk and it's a perfect fit for that.
I'm looking forward to marrying the two together. IMG_1204.jpg

    Hi Poison Ivy,
I did 10 dining chair covers. The flowers were done but doing all that plain background almost killed me.:eek::eek::eek: Kudos to you. It is lovely!!!!!

It can get tedious I know from previous projects but it's worth in the end.
I only have 6ft to go

    Thank you....
I can't take credit for the beadwork though....
That's courtesy of some unknown Victorian :)
I often wonder why some pieces were never finished.

Evelyb, I think your cameo is Athena.... definitely a helmet, and very majestic. Don't you just love antique malls? Hehehe.

    Bronwen, what is that cameo?

I have some finds to photograph tomorrow. I do have a story to relate about the antique show I attended today, one I attend every year.

I am a member of a local museum, pay them the membership yearly, so hubby and I get in for free to events like the antique show today. There is one table that always has $5 jewelry items, and I always buy things there, not too many this year, and I saw a modern Italy mosaic bracelet. Not bad, but I have older ones I like better. I hooked the clasp and set it down nicely on the table.

I was looking at some earrings at the most exclusive jewelry dealer in the place, and the owner of the $5 item table comes running up to me and accuses me of stealing the mosaic bracelet. I was mortified. I am not a thief, that's not who I am. She keeps insisting (in front to the exclusive jeweler) that I stole her bracelet and she wants it back because somebody wants to buy it. I opened my purse and asked her to look in it. She said "are you wearing it? Roll up your sleeves" (I had a long-sleeved NFL Eagles shirt on.) I pulled up my sleeves and said "I don't have your bracelet!" and I walked back to her table to see if it was there. I showed her right where I set it down (it wasn't there) and she is yelling "You were the last one to look at it!!! Where is my mosaic bracelet?" And with that, a woman standing at the table said "This bracelet?" That woman had it in her hand. Now the dealer doesn't say ONE WORD to me. I look at her and I say "I think I am owed an APOLOGY." She says "sorry."

I was shaking I was so upset. Hubby caught up with me and said to not let it ruin my day, he was right, everybody else was so very nice. I will show you how the universe rewarded me tomorrow when I take pictures of my finds. And I did buy the item I was looking at from the exclusive jeweler (but that is yet another story.)

And..... I spoke to the person who runs the show and told her what happened. She was upset and I told her it wasn't her fault, but she said she would speak to that dealer.... they value their members.

Hmmm, I'm betting your experience with that seller has already made the rounds with the other people invited to attend the event. It can't be good for her "reputation."

Did she leave her table (items) and not have a "back-up" to watch over it while she was away from it?

Someone (ha-ha) might want to tell her that next time she needs to put on at least three "adult diapers" so that she can stay with her table through thick and thin!!! ;)
