    Welcome Paul.
Your tile is a Dutch tile. The corner motif is called 'spin', which means spider. It is typical of the 17th century. The motif was used in different parts of the Netherlands by different makers.
Could we see side and back views of the tile, to see if this is an original 17th century one or a later copy (18th-19th c)? And please click on full image.

Just noticed, the subject is children playing hopscotch (I'm a bit slow at times). That could bring us closer to an origin, but I also need the dimensions.
Tiles with playing children are a favourite for collectors, but of course the condition of your tile is an issue. Still, centuries old and still around, worth seeing if we can find out more about it.

Hmm, it could be 17th c because of the tiny central scene, but it is a bit thin and the way the spider ornament in the corners is painted makes me think it is rather 19th c... But better wait for AnyJewelry...

If I am correct that is just under 1 cm.
All facts together - clay, corner motif, type of blue, size, thickness - make it 18th century.

    In my opinion 18th because:
    1. Thickeness less than 1 cm and 0,7
    2. Color of the back greyish-white
    3. Popular motif between the 2nd half of the 17th century and the 1st half of the 18th century

Sorry, the link does not come through. Go to "corner motifs" and then to "dating of corner motifs"...

Thanks, Mat. The online converter I use doesn't bother under 1 inch.
I am now on the tile determination site of the Dutch tile museum, which is where I usually go for Dutch tiles. But I have to keep on converting inches to cm.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: So bear with me, inches are not my thing.:)

Not necessarily, the German site is compiled by one collector, who no doubt has done great research, but with just one person it is easy for mistakes to slip in.
The Dutch tile museum is considered an authority on Dutch tiles.

I have about 60 more tiles to go on the Dutch tile museum site, with similar characteristics to yours, and I have already found three 17th-18th century ones with the same spider motif. These pages are in Dutch, but you can read the dates:
