Featured Help with jewellery stones

    Hi was hoping someone could tell what the stones are

    The pendant is labradorite, the beads are most likely frosted glass:)

    I though so posted earrings last which were similar less intense in colour so that is a good example of how the intensity diminishes. That sound correct and thanks

    Seconded. Glass and most probably labradorite. Usually what I see is either the gray or white, but some of the better quality stuff is blue.

    It depends on how the light catches it. A specimen can look dull grey or blazing blue; some bits have more 'labradorescence' than others. Some is very pale, nearly transparent, not noticeably grey at all, flashing a light blue & pale yellow. It really looks a lot like opal or moonstone then.

    I think moonstone and labradorite are both feldspar, with different additional minerals. People often confuse the white labradorite for moonstone.

    Yep, both members of 'the feldspar group'. (Sounds like an investment firm!)

    I'd buy stock with them; everything they have is gilt-edged, or at least glittery.
