Anybody know what this is?

My gran and papa just sent me this as a Xmas gift. They told me to search poranger for more info but only the power rangers come up...

It is quite a nice piece, I just would like some more info on it! I love history.

This porringer has the Armetale Wilton mark, RWP, of Columbia, PA. The Armetale trademark started in 1963. Armetale is an aluminum alloy.

It looks like you have pictures of two different items there

 

Looking at the pics for this dish are confusing to me. One pic has the definite markings fir Armetale, Wilton, Columbia, PA. This would make is an aluminum alloy. Then there is a pic of a clover with stars. That is the mark for Barker Brothers of Birmingham, England. 5th mark down on the left.

As this has no marking of Sterling, .925, or any British silver hallmarkings, it is not sterling. Soooo either silver plated, Britannia metal, or more likely Armetale. Wait for others to chime in.
