    Hello

This is a 9 point 10 and ½ tall vase with an embossed “L” in the circle mark on the bottom.

It has all the hallmarks of a Northwood, but I can’t identify this mark.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. - Thanks

    Hi,
I can see the L on the bottom but is it possible that it is an N underlined? The plain L is not a mark that I recall.

Hello, thank-you for the reply. I wondered the same thing, but there's no wear or anything, the "L" as is quite distinctive. I looked at any number of manufacturers and their stamps and at least from my research found none that used an "L". Very strange. Anyways, thanks for the reply, hopefully others can shed some light.

    Hi,
I looked at several of my Northwood vases and I can almost with certain say that yours is Northwood. The light stamping might have happened when it was being "twisted". The shape is right, the coloring is right and the stamping is almost certainly right for Northwood.

    Hi Fenton,
Thanks. I was sure it was Northwood but it is wonderful to get confirmation.

    lloyd249 it's not hoarding if it's valuable

I found this ....the mark sometimes confused with Northwood's underlined capital N within a circle is a V in a circle used by the Summit Art Glass Company . The V is the taken from the last name of Summit's owner, Russell Vogelsong.

Hello, thank you all for the feedback, while the L seems distinctive, general look and feel has me thinking Northwood as well so I'll find a home for it among my other pieces. Thanks everyone.
