Hey Folks, Any idea what something like this might sell for. I believe I have all the parts. In good shape. I think it's early 1900's. Dimension 14" Top cover , stands approximately 40 inches. Is it missing anything? Abendroth, New York, Flash 11 are stamped on stove. The feet are removable, the base, Cylinder middle that's lined with appears to be concrete, then top cover.
One of each photo would suffice..... I can't say where there would be a market for that muther.......... but it'll be pick up only.... From the size , it looks good for a cabin in the woods.......are you near any wooded area ??
It's a very nice stove which I would consider a parlor/parlour stove. Lots of these stoves sold in my area (New York State) in the country. I cannot find this particular make and model. I hope, like Komokwa said you are not too far from the country and woods. You might do well selling on local sales sites.
Hi @rrrdbw, and WELCOME!! This site doesn’t usually do outright ‘valuations’...too many variables due to it being a worldwide site and individual’s locations for a couple of reasons. However, we tend more to help you find examples (if we can!) and sites that may have same or like examples, so you can make your own decisions on prices!! Hope this helps, although so far it sounds like no-one’s found an exact match! eBay is frequently a good search site for one....using their SOLD listings.....People can ASK the moon.....doesn’t mean they’ll get what they’re asking....so try to find SOLD prices!!
With all that being said, I did find a site that you can at least check out.....full of “ASKING” prices......but it might help you...they did have one looking similar to yours, but it had an ornate top to it as well....think it had also been restored.... https://vatican.com/Stoves-Stove-Ornate/
All of the Abendroth flash models did come with a fancy topper. Maybe yours is missing it. This unit is in their catalog along with flash 2 and flash 3 and all had that fancy topper. Published date is c1880. Also, I get so involved that I forget to say welcome.
Thanks for the help everyone. I saw the catalog on line. Thanks, mine has not been restored this is how I picked it up. It came out of a historic landmark house. Thanks for the help everyone.
