Found this book over the summer and just rediscovered its beauty! Its filled with artwork that i cant tell whether its original or some sort of lithograph? In the index it appears to say studies of the original art? I cant find anything like this book? Everything inside looks very authentic..... just looking for any info i can gather on this great collection! 20201222_204647_compress0.jpg 20201222_205607_compress75.jpg 20201222_204810_compress3.jpg 20201222_204851_compress89.jpg 20201222_204912_compress88.jpg 20201222_205142_compress76.jpg 20201222_205216_compress2.jpg 20201222_204955_compress50.jpg

Do we have any German readers? You need a translation of this:

All that I can make out is that this #200 of an edition of 500, but not part of the deluxe printing. I do think there's more pertinent information there. (I'm too lazy to transcribe this for translation online.)

Frank Brangwyn was prolific and set his hand to just about every technique available.

Early in a new day, what I'm seeing is:
Nach originalen aus dem besitze der wiener albertina und englischem privatebesitz hergestellt und erfolgt die reproduction teils in handpressen kupferdruk, teils ein und mehrfarbigem lichtdruck der kunstanstait max jaffé in wien. Titel und kopfleisten dieser einleitung sind von der für dieses werk von künstler eigens geschnittenen originalholzstöken gedrukt.

    Which translates as:
Manufactured after originals from the property of the Viennese Albertina and private English property, and the reproduction is carried out partly in copper print hand presses, partly in one- and multi-colored collotype from the Max Jaffé Art Institute in Vienna. The title and headers of this introduction are printed from the original woodblocks specially cut by the artist for this work.

So I guess you have some etchings and some collotypes after various artists in public and private collections. You would have to go through them one by one to determine the originals and which was which.

    aus dem Besitze, etc. :)
Besitz is property etc., it would refer to the collection of the Wiener Albertina.

the folder seems newer. as they are no originals and it's not 100 % clear by whom these were copied - and furthermore not from the 100 that are signed - I don't see more value than those 120 $. and even then I have my doubts...
