I see now that my friend Bev would have been born about 1915-1917, a popular boys name back then, Joy.

I think that there was a male role with the name Hazel in a T.V. show during the 50's. Perhaps it was a movie. This is a real head-scratcher for me.

davey, I think it's a surname. Dickens for one used Aunt and Uncle with surnames of characters and I've heard it elsewhere.

He'd have been Witch here, or Witchy; Bushy is positively benign in comparison.

I totally understand Joy, I was picked on a lot as a kid in school. They called me all sorts of names and it was not pleasant. Not because of my name, but just because they could. I also was a petite girl... I still am.
    :)

My father, Gordon, delighted in showing an old family photo of 'Gordon holding [a baby] Gordon's Gordon' & adding, And I'm not even in the picture. The others are all female.

We were 3 girls and two boys and my parents were very interested and involved with the education and future of my two brothers. I once piped up that I would like to be writer and my father said " sit down and shut up .. you will get married and take care of the house" !! Actually, I did marry, had 3 children, became an alcohol and drug abuse counseller and had a newspaper column, and took care of "the house" LOL. :) :) :_ .... Joy.

Its EPNS Joy, its a shame, in very good condition and antique, but not worth a great deal or desirable.
The last one I sold went for £1, hardly worth boxing it up and shipping.
I`ve put this one up at £15 with free shipping, it will stay there until sold:eek:
