Featured Antique small side table. Need help identifying

It looks like something Bombay and Company would have sold.Id guess 1960s or 70s. I like it ,great shape.

Wait for others to chime in,Im basing that on your pics,wich could be a little clearer. Itd be nice to see the feet up close.

It reminds me of Thonet furniture but it does not have to be that, as the pictures are very unclear and the thonet designs were widely imitated and reproduced.

Agree the feet are bent wood, and the screws are old ones

The OP's is a greatly simplified version of that one, so probably quite a bit later and possibly made in Eastern Europe and no longer by Thonet; there may be a stamp on it somewhere (Czechoslovakia, Romania, etc.)

 

More pics. No tags or markings of any kind.

 

Think late 19th or early 20th century. Could be Thonet or a knock off.

 

How can I verified?

I hate to say it...but...the public library....books are your friends !!

Quite right, I was researching Thonet a couple years ago and found a couple good books at my local library. Thonet has a long history and a long history of companies in the same area making copies of each other's bentwood furniture. At one point in the early 20th century several of those knockoff companies including the original Thonet were merged, but knockoffs continued to be made and still are. Plus there is also a Thonet USA which has different ownership starting mid 20th century or so if I remember correctly. Besides this early style dark bentwood, they also made a lot of innovative mid century design and I occasionally run into a nice mid century piece with a Thonet label.
