Hi I came across this little pendant recently. 18 karat gold and Garnet. Not marked (no Screenshot_2018-01-15-13-31-37.jpeg thing I can see under the loupe) but tested. Does anyone recognize this? Would it be French Napoleon III period?
    Thanks

Could you show more pictures, of the back too?
Napoleon III gold should be marked, the French were, and are, great at marking. But French marks are microscopic.

The thing is I think this was originally an earring. This is small, maybe 2mm.I really can't see any marks. I tried to upload more photos but over the maximum.

I'm guessing it was part of an earring... What about that engraving?

I get confused between the millimeters into centimeters. I'm quite simple really:happy:
