    Just for comparison. But we know yours is not foiled. The rounded closed back on the eBay specimen makes me think they are correct: late Georgian/early Victorian.

    Exactly. Suppose it could still be foiled - seller may see things pix don't show - or may be very like the brooch under discussion here.
