Late 1800s - early 1900s Delft Hand Painted Vase with Lid

I have an old Delft vase with lid 16 inches high. Can anyone give me a better idea of the artist and year?

 

I can give you a start. Your piece was made by de Porceleyne Fles or Royal Delft. They use a letter date code system that started with A in 1879 and when they ran out of alphabet they went to double letters starting with AA etc in 1905.

Yours is a bit confusing as either D or AA may be the date code. D=1882 AA=1905.

The other initials are the artist or artists that worked on the piece. In the book "Discovering Dutch Delftware" there is a long list of known and unknown artist initials. There is no "D" written this way or "AA". There is, however, the combined VP initial for Petrus F. Vreeswijk who worked at the factory 1885-1934.

Using that information I'd guess that AA is the date mark for 1905 as apparently he didn't work at the factory in 1882 if all the info is correct.

So that is my guess, 1905 and painted, at least in part, by Petrus F. Vreeswijk.
