Pan American airlines bottle opener

Bought this bottle opener today. It has Pan Am logo and some kind of model / serial number. I wonder if anyone know if this item was something actually used on Pan Am planes. I couldn't find single reference anywhere.

looks like a aircraft tool....

 

First I thought the same but this in fact a bottle opener... Tried it on a bottle.

 

It sort of looks like a tool where maybe they were able to reach into the ovens to grab the meals to be served on flight.
Just a guess.

Oh Lenny....now a days ' facts ' are whatever you want them to be.....

Fact:
Pan Am wouldn't let me on the airplane with my bottle opener.....until I showed them exactly how it worked....

 

Love it multifunction tool.
1. To get the meals.
2. To open bottles.
3. To change plane tires (not tested yet).
