Picked this up the other week from an estate sale. It is titled Bedtime and Signed Maurice B. Carter (Jr.)? 03 Maurice Carter died in 1965. This is a nice piece...can't find much info if he had an artist son or not...any opinions? I put it back in the frame after pictures pastel2.JPG pastel3.JPG pastel4.JPG

I must be in the Twilight Zone? That makes two items I have just seen that I could swear I saw awhile back.

Sometimes, members post something on the Finds Thread and then start a thread about it to get more information, Shiloh. ;)

Kath - didn't you post a picture of this on the Finds Thread when you first got it? I know I've seen it and it could have only been here.

Thats weird. I usually post in the art or Pottery and glass category.

Shiloh - look at the thread link I posted. Kath started another thread about this pastel back on Dec 3rd and forgot that she had.

shiloh, Bakers posted a link to the other enquiry, but it's no big deal if someone posts something twice.
There could any number of reasons why.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I wondered how many people named Maurice B. Carter there could be out in the world. Apparently, several. I found one in Find A Grave from Virginia, but who died in 1985. So still the same problem with the date. And of course, no indication that he was an artist.
