This was ID'd once, but I didn't make a note, so I have to ask again.

About 7 1/2" long and just over 1 1/2" deep. Etched with flowers around a love altar.

I know the answer is out there!

(I don't have this in hand. Just want to update the file and photos.)

Thanks, Greg. I'm not at all familiar with Paden City. That name would never have occurred to me.

Not the most romantic name for a pattern, is it?

Au contraire, moreotherstuff, many a romantic tryst has occurred in a gazebo. ;)

    Hi,
Paden City had a different pattern on the same glass called Utopia. I remember a wonderful experience in a gazebo.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Based on those links, I would guess that this was Utopia.

The box shown for "Utopia" seems to be the same etch as this, while the floral sprays with "Gazebo" are considerably different.

    They are confusingly similar.

Those links show this shape as #555 Vermillion Candy. Why Vermillion?

    Hi,
I have never heard of Vermillion Candy#555. The Utopia etch is shown on the left. Mea Culpa. The heart shaped candy box had a larger pattern than the rest of the pieces. I transposed the pictures when answering.

Wasn't the scene in The Sound of Music where she sings and dances "I am 16 going on 17" in a gazebo? Well it was sort of romantic until her love interest turned out to be a maniac in the movie.

So I can legitimately say "I had Utopia in my hands, and let it go."?

I've never watched "Sound of Music". I have seen "The Gazebo" with Glenn Ford and Debbie Reynolds (well... they weren't with me when I saw it).

I'm sure there's been many a romantic tryst in a Gazebo, but let's face it: "Industrial Dumpster" will bring a twinkle to someone's eye.

"Vermillion" is the name Weatherman made up for the #555 pattern.
