   I’d think solid silver, 800 or so? I’m suspicious about the coin as the aide with the lion is so poorly struck.

   Your suspicions may be well founded, however it could be just worn.
   The coin is dated 1944 and only 60% silver but only worth around $3.
   Counterfeits for that year are known.
   If it was free from the solder it should weigh 16 grams.
